Ms. Shobha

Director

Founder of first and original Science and Math Camps in North Carolina. She has a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and in Physics-Math with a Master's Degree in Physics and Math Education research with Statistics. Shobha has taught Physics and Math courses at NCSU for five years and worked as a Software Engineer for over fifteen years.  My dream is to help the community to get technologically smarter and help America's National Goal in technology education.

Ms. Laurel

English Teacher

Ms. Laurel is joining our team as an English Tutor. She has BA in Literature and a minor in French from Wheaton College (IL) and Masters in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago in the early 90's . She was raised in the Chicago suburbs. She enjoys teaching and has taught at a Christian school in Opelousas, LA, and French to K-3rd graders! Since moving to North Carolina, she has helped several middle and high school students with English. She has also tutored in French, English SAT Prep and English as a Second Language. We are delighted to have her as a part of Destination STEM team.

Ms. Vanita

ESL Teacher

Ms. Vanita is joining us as an ESL (English As a Second Language) teacher. Ms. Vanita received her B.A and M.A. degrees from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA. She is currently working as an Adjunct Professor of Spanish. She taught College level Spanish for 25 years using innovative methods to enhance learning in a fun and productive manner. She has received a certification from Duke University in Teaching English as a Second Language. She is an author of children’s books that have been printed in Spanish and English. We are very fortunate to have her on our team.

Ms. Ronak

Art Teacher

Ms. Ronak works with our students to create beautiful art and science projects. She also works with our Pre-K and KG students.

Ms. Paige

Spanish Teacher

Ms. Paige has 5.0 GPA and is student at UNC. She teaches Spanish, Science and math. She works with all grade levels.

Ms. Tiana

Spanish Teacher

Ms. Tiana has 5.0 GPA and is student at NCSU. She teaches Spanish and Art. She works with all grade levels.
